How To Submit A Program To Air on Totoket TV

Totoket TV accepts programs to air on Totoket TV from North Branford residents and those that are employed by a North Branford-based business.  As well, at it's own discretion, Totoket TV may, from time to time, select other programs produced outside of North Branford, that Totoket TV feels may appeal to the North Branford audience.

To submit a program, simple send a DVD-R containing the program, along with a Cablecast Release Form (downloadable by  clicking here ) to:

Programs must be supplied on a DVD-R (DVD+R's are NOT accepted). The title, length of the program, and episode number/title (if applicable) must be printed clearly on the DVD).

Totoket TV will accept digital submissions (MPEG2 format).  However, you must make sure that your submission is following the specifications below EXACTLY or submissions will not be accepted.

Also, before you submit your digital file, you MUST email us at: [email protected] so we are notified IN ADVANCE of your planned submission.

What type of video formats does Totoket TV's equipment support?

 Acceptable file types:
 -MPEG-2 Program Stream (consisting of a single elementary video stream with an optional single elementary audio stream)
- NOTE: Transport stream is not possible.
-Elementary video stream
- Preferred video resolutions (pixels) are allowed. Other resolutions are not supported.
  720 x 480
- Picture rate must be 29.97 pictures per second.
- A maximum bit rate of 10 Mb/s is allowed. Higher rates are not supported.
​-4:2:0 sampling format required. (Main profile at Main or Low level, 10 Mb/s max)
-IBBP group of pictures (GOP) structure recommended for best quality (30 frame maximum GOP size).
-Encode header information in stream every few seconds to aid in error recovery.
-Audio, if present, must be encoded into the MPEG file using Audio layer II.
-Audio may be encoded at a 32, 44.1, or 48KHz sampling frequency. We recommend an audio sampling rate of 44.1 KHz for optimal performance.
-MPEG filenames may contain up to 27 characters (no spaces) in addition to the required ".mpg" extension.

Totoket TV is sad to announce that William Bergers, 90, a longtime Totoket TV Board Member and volunteer, passed away recently after a 28-year courageous battle with cancer. Bill was the husband of the late Marguerite O'Brien Bergers. Bill was very involved in Totoket TV for many years, up until recently. We will miss his smile, humor and his genuine love and dedication to Totoket TV.
